Antonios Tsapatakis is an Inspiration to Many

Antonios Tsapatakis became paraplegic after a spinal cord injury due to a motorbike accident in 2006. Despite this setback, he did not let his injury hold him back and decided to pursue swimming as a way to improve his physical condition and stay active.

Tsapatakis has achieved great success in the sport, obtaining many awards in national, European, and global competitions. He holds two national records and has won more than 20 medals including gold, silver and bronze.

His dedication and determination led him to compete in the 2012 Paralympics in London, where he finished in 4th place in the 100m breaststroke SB4 classification. In 2015, he achieved a significant milestone in his career, breaking the European record and winning the silver medal at the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Swimming World Championship in Glasgow.
