The largest swimming pool exhibition centre in New Zealand is to be built on an 11,000m2 site north of Auckland.
When completed, the Ultimate Pools Dairy Flat site will include a water testing facility and a product research and development center, extensive storage, showrooms and sales, product displays and a children’s play area. It will also feature a display swimming pool.
Ultimate Pools are the authorized New Zealand dealer and distributor of Compass Pools, located north of the Harbour Bridge in New Zealand and south of Laings Beach.
In March 2017, the company began as a distributor for Compass Pools NZ with a small storage facility and three employees. It took five years to plan the new facility, which is expected costing more than $4 million NZD when completed.
Rainbow Morris, the general manager of Rainbow Morris Inc., says that Rainbow Morris has grown quickly and established itself as a leader in its industry.
She says, “Our success in the SPASA Awards over the last few years is a testament to this.”
We now employ 26 people in our swimming pool construction and aftercare services businesses. This includes a retail shop and a fleet of service vehicles. This success brought the need for expansion. We quickly realised the need for an office that would allow us to expand and develop different aspects of our business.
Ultimate Pools is currently working with suppliers across New Zealand on the design and construction of an industry-leading facility where both end users and trade suppliers will have access to swimming pool products within a working environment.
Morris says that this will be an excellent opportunity to conduct product testing, training and sales.
Owners Warren Wright & Steve Westlake had the vision to create a modern centre that would become a family destination and event hub. The dream has now become a reality, as the construction of the facility has started in earnest.
The new Ultimate Pools facility is expected to open in April/May of 2023.
