Pool industry stalwart suffers debilitating injury

In late March, longtime pool industry member, Maytronics commercial business manager Aaron Hayes, had a terrible accident.

A simple slip and fall at home resulted in spinal damage, leaving him with no feeling from his shoulders down.

He underwent emergency surgery on the night of the fall, and remains in hospital after the procedure. He will be in hospital for some time.

Aaron is very slowly getting some feeling and movement back, but cannot walk or feed himself. However, he wants everyone to know that despite the situation, he is in good spirits.

Pool Controls’ Ben Goot and International Quadratics’ Andrew Divan organised a GoFundMe page, saying that Aaron is living without an income and will be facing significant bills over the coming months in hospitalisation, recovery, and mobility and living aids.

Giving whatever you can manage will help improve his quality of life moving forward.

Ben Goot says that Aaron doesn’t ask for anything, so some of the people who have worked with him over the past few years put together the GoFundMe page to help him out.

Aaron says that it’s going to be a long road to recovery and he is going to do everything in his power to get back to the way life was before the accident, but he just doesn’t know what the future holds.

Go to the GoFundMe page to help Aaron on his path to recovery.
