Presidential City is an apartment complex in Philadelphia that offers luxury living close to Philadelphia International Airport. There are studios and three-bedroom apartments. They have expansive fitness facilities, three pools, two spas, five reflecting pools and many outdoor entertaining areas with full kitchens.

Post Brothers, a Philadelphia-based multi-family property developer, owns and operates the property. They also have several other properties in the vicinity. Post Brothers has made it a point of setting their properties apart by providing impressive outdoor facilities. Large bodies of water in Presidential City totalling 682,000L (180,165 gal) are heated all year.

Sarina Rose is senior vice-president for development at Post Brothers. “Over the years, our outdoor pool club’s operational requirements changed.” We realized that although residents and staff loved the pool’s ability to be filled throughout the year, they weren’t being used during winter. However, residents still enjoy the Jacuzzis. We looked into installing a new pool heating system to save energy and keep the pools above freezing in winter.

In 2020, the Patriot Pool Heating Co. management explained the changes they were planning and the reasons why the pool heaters weren’t performing as expected and were consuming more natural gases than expected. The heating company’s inspectors discovered that all units had been replaced at the very least once every seven years.

Although there are many factors that can make a pool heating system last for decades, the key is design. It is crucial to choose equipment that will last and avoid contact with corrosive pool water.

There are 464.5 m 2 of water surface (5,000 sf).

Patriot Pool Heating is an expert in retrofitting pool heating systems for resorts, hotels, retirement communities, apartment complexes, condos and apartments. Their method of using stainless steel condensing boilers instead of dedicated pool heating units has proven to be more cost-effective, comfortable, and long-lasting. Although it is unusual in the aquas industry, it works extremely well, as their clients will testify.
