PHTA calls for Standards Consensus committee participation


The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance is calling for members to join the Standards Consensus Committee, PHTA’s official voting body. The SCC reviews and votes on all pool and spa standards that will be approved by American National Standards Institute ).

The SCC members are divided into four categories: producer, user-government, user-consumer, and general interest. Participants in PHTA’s standards development process are subject matter experts such as public officials, architects and engineers, code officials and consultants, product manufactures, representatives of other organizations and individuals who have expertise or an interest in advancing pool and hot-tub industry.

All categories have openings. For consideration for a SCC position, applicants must submit a SCC Application form by November 14, 2023 and adhere to PHTA’s Procedures for American National Standards (ANS), Antitrust Policy, conflict of interest policy, and Volunteer Code of conduct.
