Oklahoma to Get $2 Billion Dollar Theme Park and Resort

The Mansion Entertainment Group announced plans for a $2 billion theme and resort that will grace the Midwest. The American Heartland Theme Park and resort is set to open in 2026. It will cover a 1,000-acre area in Vinita in northeastern Oklahoma.

The amusement park is 125 acres in size, which makes it comparable to other renowned attractions such as Florida’s Magic Kingdom or Disneyland in California. The park is designed to immerse visitors in a magical Americana-themed atmosphere, with a variety of rides, live shows, family attractions and scenic waterways. The park offers a wide variety of top-quality restaurant food and beverages to enjoy during your visit.

Kristy Adam, a marketing and sales executive with the development team said: “We believe this project will change the tourism landscape in Northeast Oklahoma as well as the entire region.” We have already met several tourism partners, and we are excited to begin promoting this new addition to Oklahoma.

The park’s appeal is centered around “six distinctly American Lands” which will transport guests to unique settings in the vast landscape. The American Heartland is more than just an amusement park. It will include additional features that will make your stay memorable. The lavish 300-room resort, as well as the indoor water park will offer plenty of opportunities for relaxation. The resort will also offer a 320-acre RV Park and a charming campground with 300 cabins, appropriately named Three Ponies. This is aimed at all guests who are looking for an immersive experience.

The park’s design team is comprised of over 20 Walt Disney Imagineers and Disney Parks builders, who are renowned for creating captivating attractions. Several design firms from amusement parks with proven track records, such as Six Flags or Universal Studios, have also been hired.

Developers expect the American Heartland Resort and Theme Park to attract two million visitors per year. The eagerly anticipated theme park, which is scheduled to open in 2026, will be a fierce competitor to both the Magic Kingdom Theme Park and Disneyland in California. Steven Hendrick shared some exciting details on the park’s grand plan.

Hendrick gave a sneak peek into the six distinct areas of the park, each offering a unique experience. Liberty Village will be a small-town charm, while Great Plains pays homage to its heritage by incorporating “Native American stories and traditions.”

Bayou Bay, a boating adventure in the swamps of Louisiana, is perfect for those who are looking for adventure. Big Timber Falls, on the other hand will provide a forest-like experience, which showcases an authentic slice American wilderness.

Stony Point Harbor is a waterfront town that will feature mouth-watering seafood, a lighthouse and other attractions. Stony Point Inn will be located in the harbor to ensure that the experience is seamless. It boasts 300 luxurious rooms.

Visitors to Electropolis will embark on a journey through American innovation, exploring the rich history and technology advancements.

A wide range of attractions, rides and shows, as well as the thematic zones, will enrich the park’s offerings for visitors of all ages.

Hendrick said that Oklahoma is the ideal setting to exemplify the American heartland. He also highlighted the positive relationship between state leaders and the project. The American Heartland themed park is a destination that promises to be mesmerizing and will attract guests from all over the world to celebrate America’s spirit and diverse cultural tapestry.

Micheal Bergstrom, Oklahoma’s state senator, echoed this excitement and said that the park will bring significant benefits to Oklahoma. Larry Wilhite – the CEO of American Heartland – expressed his delight at choosing Oklahoma to be the location of this exciting family entertainment attraction, highlighting the state’s central location in the heartland.

The American Heartland Theme Park & Resort will become a landmark in the Midwest, attracting families and thrill seekers from across the country.
