Jayne Orth, a pool industry legend, retires from the industry due to illness

Jayne Orth is retiring due to poor health from the industry of pool and spas.

Jayne has been a mainstay in the industry for over three decades. Her advice is sought after by many. She is an educator and trainer who has helped generations of Australian technicians to perfect their water treatment and testing procedures. She has spoken at SPLASH! She has presented at SPLASH!

She began her career in the industry in 1992. She began her career in 1993 with the Guardex Brand under Great Lakes Chemical Corporation.

She began her career in 2000 as a Business Development Executive for Elite Chemicals. In 2005, she moved to Focus Products and became the national technical manager.

She managed the Purex Brand for Fluidra from 2010 to 2015, while training retail technicians in the correct use of chemicals and equipment.

She joined Lo-Chlor in 2019 as the new Business Development Manager, a position she held until she retired in May 2023.

Jayne is battling cancer, as many people in the industry know. It returned after she beat it three time in a year. Her prognosis, and subsequent retirement, has devastated the entire pool and spa industries.

She says, “This has truly been an amazing journey.” “I’ve spent more than 30 years in the industry and have loved every minute.

“Take care of everyone you love. Change your job if it doesn’t make you happy. The life is too short.

This was never a “job”. It was a passion, a love.
