Franklin Electric Co., Inc. Recently, the global corporate headquarters of Franklin Electric Co. in Fort Wayne Ind. celebrated its 10th anniversary.
Franklin Electric’s headquarters staff celebrated their anniversary on Friday, July 14. They had a day filled with fun activities. Gregg Sengstack, CEO of Franklin Electric, kicked off the festivities by speaking to the staff and cutting the “anniversary” cake. Fort Wayne Philharmonic provided bluegrass music throughout the afternoon as employees played outdoor lawn games. A food truck and ice cream were on site to celebrate this milestone. Franklin Electric employees at the headquarters received a memento as a way to commemorate this milestone.
Gregg Sengstack is the CEO and chairperson of Global Corporate Headquarters, which is located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. “We are celebrating our first decade here, as we reflect on what we have accomplished,” he says. Ten years ago, we set out to offer our customers complete water systems solutions. We have exceeded our expectations. The resources here have been a major part of our growth. We’ve grown because we deliver reliable, trusted products.
Franklin Electric’s headquarters, completed in 2013, is 120,000 square foot and sits atop 102 acres. The building was constructed from 294 tons steel and is powered by over 70 Franklin Electric products. A cooling pond outside provides geothermal cooling and heating. The U.S. Green Building Council awarded the company LEED Silver Certification.
The headquarters features many amenities that create an environment of comfort and productivity. These include collaborative areas for re-igniting creative thinking, on-site catering (with gourmet coffee included), a fitness center in-house, state-of the-art meeting rooms, outdoor areas, and outdoor walking paths. The building houses a large collection of photographs by Canadian artist Edward Burtynsky, which are centered on themes related to water infrastructure and environmental issues.
Sengstack says, “This facility and its people continue to drive forward our business.” Our Fort Wayne location is not only home to our Global Corporate headquarters, but also to our state-of-the art Engineering Center of Excellence, where we test every product to ensure that it delivers the performance critical to the markets we serve.
