Container Pools NZ liquidated for more than $3 Million

Container Pools Limited, trading as Container Pools NZ in New Zealand, has been liquidated.

The website of the company is no longer active and Google Review posts are full of complaints regarding undeliverable pools and equipment.

The company is , registered in Albany, Auckland. The director, Joel Michael Gordon Painter, and the other shareholders, Michael Painter, Nicola Louise Painter, and Louise Nicola Painter are listed. Other companies with similar names and directors are not marked as liquidated by the Companies Office.

Derek Ah Sam, liquidator at Rodgers Reidy Limited, says that more information will be available as the process progresses, but for the time being, based on internal company systems, it seems there are approximately $NZ3.5million dollars owed to creditors.

The secured creditors, such as banks and finance companies, would receive payment before consumers or other unsecured creditors.

He said that these procedures could take a long time, especially when action is required.

He says “It may take years.”

New Zealand media reports claim that 42 customers are waiting for their pools, and suppliers owe $NZ833,000.

According to a report by Stuff NZ, some consumer creditors met with Waterstone Insolvency in order to recover more money.

Rodgers Reidy is still the liquidator.

Stuff NZ reported that Waterstone director Adam Botterill said a good outcome for customers would be to get 20-25 percent of their money returned.

SPLASH! This story will be updated as new information becomes available.
