Florida drowning statistics is a serious issue. Did you know:
- According to the CDC, drowning is the leading cause of death in Florida for children ages 1-4.
- Florida was ranked number one in the U.S., for unintentional drowning deaths for children aged 1-4 years between 2018 and 2020 (per FloridaHealth.gov).
- According to Florida Health Charts, every year there are enough drowning deaths of children under 5 to fill three to four Florida classrooms.
