BioGuard, a manufacturer of high-performance spa chemicals and pool chemicals, began a year-long celebration to mark its 60th anniversary. The festivities culminated in a Nashville, Tenn. event in January 2023. Over 450 people attended the event, including representatives from BioGuard dealers. BioGuard is well-known for its three-step chemical system that keeps water clear and clean. It pioneered the use of computerized water testing to test pools and spas. BioGuard was established in 1963. It now includes a full chemical product line for spas (SpaGuard), with an extensive independent dealer network in the United States of America, Canada, Australia, South Africa, and Australia.
The company’s annual dealer conference, which was held at the JW Marriott Nashville, included the 60th anniversary party. This conference offered learning opportunities, including marketing and business seminars and training for their existing group of retail professionals.
Michael Thill, Caribbean Pool and Spa’s retail division manager, was especially pleased with the event, saying that “Celebrating 60 Years was amazing, but also, and perhaps more importantly, I was impressed with the new vibe [for the next 60 years] with President Ignacio Campos.” He will do incredible things for BioGuard and the entire pool industry.

It served two purposes: to celebrate the 60th anniversary and to help launch a new vision for moving the company forward. Ted Lawrence, vice-president of sales, witnessed firsthand the passion BioGuard dealer have for their businesses as well as the brand. It was an honor to spend time with so many of our BioGuard dealers at the Nashville event. Lawrence says that Lawrence is excited to lead our sales team through this milestone year. “We honor the BioGuard brand’s rich history and take it to new heights,” Lawrence said.
