Arkansas Woman Discovers a Pool Hidden Under Her Floorboards

Emily Henry, a glasswork artist from Arkansas, recently undertook a renovation project which led to a stunning discovery beneath the floorboards in her family home. Henry began renovating her spare room and soon discovered that the hardwood floors were more than they appeared. She was surprised to find a pool with a hot tub hidden under the surface. The artist shared her amazing revelation with her TikTok followers, and they were both excited and skeptical.

We don’t use the space for storage, but it was used in the past! We’re excited to turn this room into our own special space.

Why was this pool under the floor?

Henry chose to take advantage of the hidden pool. She and her family decided to transform the space, turning it into an atrium, instead of restoring the pool’s former glory.

Update. Update.

Henry’s decision to turn the pool into an atrium wasn’t made lightly. He considered the beauty of the outdoors, and their love of the outdoors. In a TikTok post, she explained her thinking process, saying, “Although many of you wanted this area to be restored to [a] swimming pool, we decided it would not make sense to have an interior pool, being surrounded with these crystal-clear lakes and being outdoorsy people.”

Henry’s vision was inspired by her love of glasswork and desire to create a tranquil sanctuary. She revealed, “I want to fill this space with lots and lots plants and a little koi-pond that we can enjoy.” The transformation will be truly magical with plans to include a running waterfall and stream.

Henry took steps to bring her vision to reality. She added soil to the small ponds so that she could plant lush foliage, creating a green immersive environment. She plans to create a living wall, and install a hammock in the area for relaxation and escape. Henry has yet to reveal the results of her renovation, but fans can follow her TikTok page to stay up-to-date on Henry’s progress.

What Would You Do?

We’re curious. What would you have done with the space if a swimming pool was discovered under your floor surface? Comment on the comment and let us know.
