America’s Swimming Pool Company Opens Six New Locations

America’s Swimming Pool Company (ASP) announced the opening of six new locations in the first three months of the year, including the first ASP in Minnesota. The brand also signed franchise development agreements with three new owners who will bring ASP to multiple new territories throughout the Southeast. This growth comes on the heels of a busy 2023 for the company, which included agreements for 38 additional territories and the launch of a Construction Division.

“The past year was filled with new opportunities for America’s Swimming Pool Company to recognize the growth and success of our dedicated franchise network, which is the heart and soul of our company,” says Jimmie Meece, brand president of America’s Swimming Pool Company. “As the second quarter of 2024 gets underway, we are celebrating the collaboration and new initiatives behind our ever-growing footprint, as well as the continued opportunities we have to foster the culture of support and knowledge-sharing that defines us into this year and beyond.”

The six America’s Swimming Pool Company locations that debuted in Q1 include:

  • ASP of Minneapolis – owned and operated by John Matthews and Gino Hoffman. This is the first ASP in Minnesota.
  • ASP of Santa Rosa County, Fla. – owned and operated by Greg and Lora Ennis
  • ASP of South Shore, Fla. – owned and operated by Travis and Amy Larson
  • ASP of Little Rock, Ark. – owned and operated by Richard and Jana Griffiths
  • ASP of North Indianapolis, Ind. – owned and operated by Sandy and Ellen McNutt
  • ASP of Inner Banks, N.C. – owned and operated by Savannah and Eric Slade

These new owners completed Pool School training in January, February and March. A two-week intensive course at company headquarters in Macon, Pool School features hands-on training in service, repair techniques and renovation as well as an introduction to operational systems and strategies to use in building business. It takes place on a 20,000-square-foot training campus with 12 fully functional display pools, a classroom and three outdoor swimming pools. Additionally, there is a warehouse with equipment and product representative of key swimming pool manufacturers and distributors in the industry.

ASP also recently made two strategic hires to support its new Construction Division launched in 2023, adding John Baldschun and John Hutchinson to the team as business coaches. Both men are longtime franchise owners and former ASP Franchisee of the Year award recipients. They will share their expertise with the system and assist Director of Training Shaun Hurley in continuing to expand the pool builder program. Recent developments include a partnership with Heritage Pool Supply and Latham Pools to offer ASP builders an exclusive fiberglass pool line and training in fiberglass installation.
