WorkInAquatics.com is a new website for job seekers launched by the PHTA.

(Alexandria, VA) – The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA), the trade association representing the swimming pool, hot tub and spa industry, today announced a major milestone in its workforce development program as it launched its brand new jobseeker website, WorkInAquatics.com and robust job board made exclusively for PHTA member companies, careers.WorkInAquatics.com.

The consumer website is the cornerstone of , the program. It serves as a program hub, and gives jobseekers critical information on the industry. This includes in-demand roles, career paths, earning potentials, personal success stories, and more. Members of PHTA can create their own Employer profile and post free jobs on the industry’s only job board.

PHTA’s leadership revealed the first plans for the program at the board meeting in November last year. The program is known as Pool Professionals Pipeline. PHTA, along with its steering committee of experienced industry experts developed the program in order to increase awareness among job seekers of the aquatics sector and meet the demand for new talent.

Sabeena Hickey, PHTA’s President and CEO, said that the pool and hot-tub industry has a lot of potential, but we are also limited by a lack of skilled workers and the younger generation of workers who want to enter trades like ours. The importance of this program is not to be underestimated. We heard our members’ concerns and are proud to unveil this next step to welcome jobseekers into our industry.

The program will also include a jobseeker’s website and job board. It will also be supported by social media on Facebook and LinkedIn as well as public relations and advertising campaigns. Videos, new resources, and other assets are being developed continuously. PHTA members will be able to expect more resources and new ways to increase their visibility with today’s active job seekers.

The work of PHTA and industry has just begun. Hickman said that to make an impact, we need to invest in training and recruiting new candidates for our industry. It is important to have a voice and a presence in the industry. This will help us grow and succeed. PHTA has committed to support this jobseeker campaign over the long term – ultimately driving qualified and engaged candidates to our member companies to find new careers.
