Viking Spas Announces Leadership Transition as President John Clark Retires

Viking Spas, Inc., a leading U.S. manufacturer of hot tubs, announced the retirement of President John Clark which was effective on June 30, 2025. John has been a key figure at Viking Spas since joining as CFO in 2006. His leadership helped shape nearly two decades of steady growth and operational success. Most notably, he guided the company through complex industry challenges with calm determination and a people-first mindset.

“I’m incredibly proud of the team we’ve built and all we’ve accomplished together,” says Clark. “I’m confident that Viking is in the best possible hands moving forward.”

Stepping into the role of President is AJ Gallagher, who previously served as Chief Operating Officer. With more than 25 years of experience in the spa industry and deep roots in the family-founded company, AJ has helped shape Viking’s customer-focused strategy and operational strength. As President, he will continue working closely with his executive team:

  • Steve Veneklase, VP of manufacturing
  • Damian Goncalves, controller
  • Jerry Hyland, director of sales
  • Melinda Scheble, director of marketing & special projects

Together, they bring decades of experience and a shared passion for the brand’s values and long-term vision.

With AJ Gallagher at the helm and this strong team alongside him, Viking Spas is poised for continued growth, innovation and world-class dealer and customer support.
