‘Trainer of the Year’ awarded at PSP/Deck Expo 2023

BioLab’s long-time employee and a frequent contributor to Pool & Spa Marketing, Alicia Stephens, was awarded “Trainer of the Year” at the Pool Nation Awards ceremony held at the 2023 International Pool|Spa|Patio and Deck Expo (PSP/Deck Expo).

BioLab’s director of training and education and a frequent contributor to Pool & Spa Marketing, Alicia Stephens, was named “Trainer of the Year” at the Pool Nation Awards ceremony held at the International Pool|Spa|Patio and Deck Expo (PSP/Deck Expo).

Stephens joined BioLab in April of 2000, as part of a temporary summer team working for the technical solutions team (TAT). She spent three years with the customer care group before moving onto TAT to focus on new product support integration and technical product support, including customer training and education.

In 2006, Stephens transitioned to education manager and has focused her efforts on the education and training of both internal and external employees. She also has published many articles in her name and given talks at an industry event.

Currently, Stephens is the director of training and education for the BioLab pro dealer division, and she pursues her passion for education and training through a combination of in-person instruction, virtual learning opportunities, online education modules, and one-on-one interactions.

Stephens is responsible for developing a training curriculum to meet the needs of the pro dealer division and to develop the strategy and resources to drive the future success of the division.
