Toronto has opened registration this week for over 11,000 courses, 2350 drop-in winter recreation programs and March break programs. Ottawa opened registration for its improved swim registration system this week, which allows wintertime swimming and other aquatic activities.
Registration is now open in Toronto for Etobicoke York (including York South Weston), Toronto East York, North York, Scarborough, and Toronto. It is still possible to recruit swim and skating coaches in the city. It had to cancel 540 programs in September due to a shortage of qualified professionals.
After years of complaints by parents and officials about the previous system, Ottawa has a new swimming registration system. This is especially true for those who tried to apply for swim classes.
Register Ottawa, Ottawa’s new registration platform, places emphasis on the client experience. You can search the new platform and create filters according to type of activity, location, time and age.
A new swimming program is now available in Ottawa, after the Canadian Red Cross has discontinued swim lessons. The program is called Swim City and offers three levels depending on age and skill.
