The Independent Pool and Spa Service Association offers its members and Chapters additional opportunities to be recognized in the pool and service sector.
IPSSA has made a major move by introducing new awards for 2023. The outstanding winners will be honored at the annual dinner on February 3, 2024.
The IPSSA Chapter Of The Year Award will be presented to the Region 7 San Diego Metro Chapter. The chapter is known for its dedication to community service. Through auctions and regional picnics, it raised over $21,000 to support causes like the San Diego Drowning Prevention Foundation. It also supported swim schools and helped a family that lost their home in a fire. The commitment of the chapter goes beyond charity. All members have completed water chemistry classes, provided sick route coverage and actively contributed towards membership growth.
Aden Dunne of Classic Pools & Spas of Encinitas is the recipient of another notable award, The Pool Professional of Tomorrow Award. Dunne, who was raised in the pool and spa industry, embodies IPSSA’s core values: community, education, support. His efforts ensure IPSSA’s members are kept abreast of the latest technological advances, creating an environment that fosters education and support.
Rose Smoot expressed her delight at the overwhelming response for these new awards. She anticipates a formal award presentation at the annual Weekend of Inspiration, which will be held at The Westin Long Beach, California, on the 3-4 February 2024.
Since its founding in 1988, IPSSA’s goal has been to offer educational opportunities and business assistance to its members. These awards reinforce their commitment to education, community, and support.
