Oct. 30 Oct. 2023 – ATLANTA – Coverings, the premier ceramic tile and natural-stone exhibition and conference of North America (www.coverings.com), has opened the official registration for the event, hotel discounts and submissions to the award program for Coverings 2020, which will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta (GWCC), Georgia, from April 22-25.
Coverings 2024 is open to all tile, stone and design professionals in the industry. To register for free, visit Coverings.com. Coverings Cares is a new initiative that highlights the show’s commitment in serving the tile industry, the Atlanta community and local businesses through a donation pool up to $50,000. When registering for Coverings 2024, registrants have the opportunity to support one of six vetted charitable organizations, including Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB), Atlanta Habitat for Humanity (HAH), Ceramic Tile Education Foundation(CTEF), EARTHDAY.ORG and Tile Heritage Foundation.
Coverings will make a $10 donation to an organization selected by the event registrant. The registrant can match the amount or even exceed it if they wish. Coverings will donate to designated charities for the first 5,000 attendees of Coverings 2024.

The event will feature a variety of educational activities, including live demonstrations, interactive podcasts, panel discussions and hands-on experiences. Coverings 2020 will unite tile and marble professionals to promote sustainable design, construction and installation practices by way of special programming, in honor of Earth Day on April 22nd, which is the first day of this event. Earth Day activities will focus on the eco-friendly qualities of ceramic tiles and their production. The 2024 Coverings Installation & Design Awards (CID Awards) and 2024 Rock Star Awards have just begun. From now until December 20, 2023, industry professionals can enter both award programs.
2024 Coverings Installation & Design (CID) Awards
The CID Awards Program recognizes outstanding achievements in the design and application of ceramic tile and stones across residential, institutional and commercial projects. The deadline for submitting projects is Dec. 20, 2023. Designers, architects and builders, as well as contractors, retailers, distributors, installers, and other professionals in the industry are encouraged to do so via the project submission portal.
Submissions are free of charge for national and international projects. To be eligible for review, all projects must have been completed between January 2022 – December 2023.
The committee will evaluate the submitted projects and award winners in eight categories: Residential Ceramic Tile Installation (RCI), Residential Ceramic Tile Design (RCD), Residential Stone Installation (RSI), Residential Stone Design (RSD), Commercial Ceramic Tile Installation (CCI), Commercial Ceramic Tile Design(CCD), Commercial Stone Installation and Commercial Stone Design.
The winning projects are recognized at Coverings in 2024, and will also be featured on the Coverings blog, website and social media platforms. The award winners will receive a one-night complimentary stay at Coverings or a gift card of equivalent value. They will be recognized in the CID Awards ceremony and reception.
Coverings 2024 Rock Star Awards
The Coverings Rock Star Awards are dedicated to celebrating the tile industry’s brightest and best young talent. The 2024 Rock Star Awards celebrate the 10 thyear of the award program. This highlights Coverings’ decade-long commitment in advancing the industry by honoring young talent, and promoting education, networking, and career growth opportunities.
The deadline for submitting nominations is December 20, 2023. Industry leaders are encouraged submit their nominations via the Coverings Rock Stars Nomination portal. Nominees for Coverings Rock Stars must be under 35 and employed in the industry.
Each nominee will be evaluated by a panel of industry leaders based on his or her experience, certifications or affiliations with professional bodies, previous awards or recognitions and influence in the tile and stone industries.
The Rock Star Awards recipients will be honored at Coverings in 2024. They will also be featured in the Coverings Press Release 2024, which is shared with a variety of industry and consumer media outlets.
