The airport with its own infinity pool

Punta Cana Airport (PUJ), in the Dominican Republic, takes this concept to new heights. In the middle of one of the Caribbean’s busiest airports is a VIP lounge located on the third level of Terminal 2. It boasts an extravagant infinity pool that offers unparalleled runway views.

Punta Cana International Airport’s Infinity Swimming Pool

Punta Cana Airport is the second busiest airport in the Caribbean. It connects passengers with 64 cities in 26 different countries and serves over 8 million travelers every year. Terminal 2, gateway to this tropical oasis, invites travelers to enjoy a touch luxury in its VIP lounge.

Architectural Brilliance by Antonio Segundo Imbert

The VIP lounge was designed by acclaimed Dominican architect Antonio Segundo Imbert. It is an architectural marvel. The lounge is located near gate 24, and can be reached after passing through passport control, security checks and the food court.

Punta Cana Airport (PUI), a popular airport for travelers, has its own infinity swimming pool in Terminal 2’s VIP lounge.

Poolside Paradise without Breaking the Bank

The VIP experience is not reserved for only first-class passengers at PuntaCana International Airport. The lounge is open daily between 09:00 and 18:00. There are several entry options.

  • Seating areas

A Glimpse of the Future: Terminal Expansion

PuntaCana International Airport has been expanding its Terminal B for $90 million. The upgraded terminal can accommodate up to 5,000 passengers an hour, and 4 million passengers annually. The expansion was led by Dominican engineers and architects, and includes seven new airbridges and boarding gates.

Other airport pools are also available

Punta Cana is not the only place with an infinity pool. It may, however, be the only infinity pool in the Caribbean. If you are looking for airport pools, there are several nearby hotels that offer them. For example, the Westin Detroit Metropolitan has a heated indoor swimming pool. Or the Aerotel Airport Transit hotel is located at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1.

Punta Cana’s International Airport is a luxury getaway for layovers in a world of airports becoming destinations. Next time you’re in this Caribbean jewel, enjoy the runway views while taking a dip in an infinity pool. It will transform your ordinary trip into something extraordinary. In a world of pools popping up in unexpected places, Punta cana international airport proves that there is no limit to the amount of memories you can create for your travelers.
