New survey data highlights widespread dissatisfaction among pool owners with existing pool cleaning methods.
The survey, conducted using Pollfish by Beatbot, a robotic pool cleaners brand, reveals that despite significant investment, 41 per cent of pool owners in the U.S. express dissatisfaction with their robotic pool cleaners.
Key findings from the company’s survey indicate more than 68 per cent of pool owners use a vacuum or robotic cleaner to clean their pool. Among the dissatisfied respondents, issues such as inefficient cleaning (18.4 per cent), incomplete coverage (23.2 per cent), maintenance challenges (15 per cent), and algae growth (11.3 per cent) were cited as main areas of concern. The top pain points in pool cleaning are water quality maintenance (24.4 per cent) and algae growth (20.6 per cent).
Most pool owners clean their pools weekly (54 per cent) or daily (24.6 per cent), emphasizing the need for routine maintenance. Reasons for not purchasing robotic pool cleaners include a preference for manual cleaning (20.3 per cent) and distrust in the product’s reliability (15.8 per cent).
