A New Level of Precision
The new items can be easily added to projects. They have powerful tools and features which streamline the design process, while giving designers unparalleled control of every detail. With its intuitive reference points, the new 3D Grid aligns seamlessly with the 2D Grid. The new Align-to-Grid Button and distance guides provide precise measurements to the edge of the drawn shapes. They also make it easier to position objects in 3D. The new 3D Gizmo makes it easy to align, duplicate and place objects. It also has intuitive controls which adjust as you design.
Smart Snaps have been redesigned to be faster and more accurate. Smart Snaps have been redesigned to respond faster and with greater accuracy, based on which 2D design tool is being used. Angle Snaps are now adjustable in increments of 5deg, making it even easier to align elements or objects with the grid.
New Timesaving Shortcuts
The update includes new keyboard shortcuts as well as new sliders. These will save you time. Shift + Drag duplicates, aligns and spaces objects instantly. The “B” shortcut zooms and focuses in on an object or shape, in both 2D and 3-dimensional.
A new presentation workflow and an updated approach to staging the design process streamlines the entire process. Pools & Spas and Plants & Items have been merged to make it easier for designers manage similar design elements while staying focused on the exciting array of new options. The new Accurate Focus Mode, says Nehlich, will allow members to get pixel-perfect results in Vip3D. This mode allows users to easily adjust the focal distance of the camera and the F-stop for truly stunning presentations.
