(Atlantic City, NJ). – Step Into Swim, a pool and hot tub alliance (PHTA) initiative, has announced key partnerships with Fluidra, Hayward Holdings, Inc., Heritage Pool Supply Group, and other program supporters. Each of them shares Step Into Swim’s commitment to increasing access to swim lessons and instilling water confidence in the name drowning prevention. This was evident in key partner celebrations held at the Northeast Spa and Pool Association’s Pool and Spa Show.

Rowdy Gaines is the Vice President of Partnerships and Development at PHTA and three-time Olympic Gold Medalist. She leads Step Into Swim. “Fluidra and Hayward and Heritage Pool Supply Group have been instrumental in growing our mission. Their financial contributions will help Step Into Swim achieve our goal of $750,000 for learn-to swim grants. These grants will help to reduce drowning and provide safe swimming education for thousands of children.

Fluidra, a publicly traded company that develops innovative products, services and IoT solutions in the residential and commercial pool markets has committed $100,000 to Step Into Swim. Fluidra and Step Into Swim celebrated the partnership with a ceremony check presentation and photo opportunities at the tradeshow. This demonstrates Fluidra’s shared commitment to providing the best pool and wellness experience for everyone and their belief in investing in the effort of teaching people how to swim. Step Into Swim will receive the generous donation to help them provide learn-to swim programming for 2,000 kids.

Hayward Holdings, Inc., a global manufacturer, designer, and marketer for a wide range of pool and outdoor living technologies, donated $50,000 to Step Into Swim. Hayward’s community-driven approach to community engagement was furthered by the partnership which was honored with a photo opportunity at an industry tradeshow. Step Into Swim will receive the generous donation to provide learn-to swim programming for 1,000 children.

Heritage Pool Supply Group Hosts Benefit Concert

Heritage Pool Supply Group is one of the fastest-growing privately owned wholesale distributors in America. It continues to support Step Into Swim, Swim Across America, and other charities through benefit events hosted by Heritage Cares, its Heritage Family of Companies philanthropy. The charity organized a charity concert at the industry tradeshow, with 38 Special and Lynyrd Lynyrd performing at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.

Industry partners play a vital role in Step Into Swim’s growth. The program raised $750,000 in 2022. This money went to over 60 facilities in 43 US states, and paid for swim lessons for 23500 children. Since 2012, the initiative has provided swim lessons for more than 300,000. It was funded by YMCAs and Jewish Community Centers as well as Boys and Girls Clubs and other organizations. Step Into Swim and learn-to swim programs are funded entirely by donations.
