The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance announced the ongoing partnership with Hayward Holdings, Inc. (“Hayward”), a global manufacturer, designer, and marketer of a wide range of outdoor living technology.
Hayward’s sponsorship at the platinum level will help Step Into Swim to invest in the next generation through learn-to swim programming. Today’s announcement and photo opportunity were held at the Northeast Spa and Pool Association (NESPA), Pool and Spa Show in Atlantic City.
Rowdy Gaines (three-time Olympic Gold Medalist, vice president of partnerships for PHTA), who heads the Step Into Swim initiative, says that Hayward is a great partner. “They have been great partners in helping us reach our goals of creating more swimmers, and raising $750,000 to provide learn-to swim grants across the country.
Hayward’s donation will provide 1,000 children with learn-to-swim programs. This will further the company’s purpose-driven approach towards community involvement and on-the ground support for programs that emphasize water safety education.
Hayward’s vision, to instill happiness and well-being with safe, smart, and sustainable solutions, is the driving force behind everything we do and our impact on this world. “We are proud to continue to support Step Into Swim, and help inspire the future generation of swimmers,” said Kevin Holleran CEO of Hayward.
Learning to swim with a qualified instructor is crucial for keeping children safe in the water. Hayward is a part of Step Into Swim’s mission, which is to prevent drowning by providing children with free swimming lessons and educational materials that will help them feel confident around water.
Step Into Swim and Hayward, its partners, believe that safe swimming practices and teaching the vital skill of learning how to swim are essential for improving the safety and health of children and their families. Since 2012, the initiative has provided more than 300,000. These lessons were given by YMCAs and Jewish Community Centers as well as Boys and Girls Clubs. Step Into Swim and learn-to swim programming are funded entirely by donations. To learn more, visit www.StepIntoSwim.org.
