Skimmer Launches Community, LSI & Dosing Calculator, Service Texts and More

July 16, 2024 — Austin — The first half of 2024 saw Skimmer, the leading platform for pool
and spa service professionals, continue its run as the number-one software in the pool service
market while extending its reach and impact for pool pros.

Since the beginning of the year, Skimmer has released nearly 30 new enhancements and
features, amplifying the company’s support for the 27,000+ pool and spa service professionals
in its network.

“At Skimmer, our purpose is to empower pool and spa service professionals with a platform to
build great businesses, including easy-to-use software, support, ongoing education, and a
vibrant community,” says Jack Nelson, CEO of Skimmer.

The past few months saw several significant launches from the Austin-based pool
service software company.

In a move to further support industry professionals, Skimmer recently launched The Pool Deck, an online community designed to foster connection, collaboration, and growth. This dynamic community brings together pool service professionals, industry experts, and specialists in areas such as marketing, human resources, finance, and water chemistry.

“The Pool Deck is a forum where pool pros can share experiences, seek advice, and inspire
each other,” says Justine Rae, Director of Customer Marketing and Community at Skimmer.
“Members can learn from industry experts, access a wealth of resources, and benefit from
exclusive experiences and channels available to Skimmer customers.”

Launch of service texts

Recognizing the importance of clear communication, Skimmer has introduced service texts,
which enable pool service businesses to send system notifications to customers via text
message. This feature ensures that customers are informed about appointments, service
updates, and any unexpected changes, fostering trust and transparency.

“Pool pros are so busy, and customer communication can add a lot of hours to their already
busy weeks. We built service texts to automate some of that communication in a way that lets
pool pros keep their customers in the loop while letting their technicians focus on providing great pool service,” says Jason Moore, Product Manager at Skimmer. “
