A new electric hot tub boat is making waves in the leisure and rental market, combining the relaxation of a hot tub with the mobility of a boat. This innovative vessel is designed for both personal enjoyment and commercial use, appealing to vacationers and property owners seeking a unique water experience.

Each boat, called the “Spacruzzi,” is handcrafted, featuring an electric propulsion system and a self-cleaning mechanism powered by a salt-chlorine generator, manufactured by ControlOmatic, for water sanitation. This system has been sold and installed for years on both hot tubs and smaller pools as a retrofit, salt-chlorine generator, eliminating the need for manual chemical treatments, making the boat easy to maintain.

The chlorine generator produces chlorine as needed and eliminates the need to add chemicals manually. Users simply place the unit’s electrode cell into the deepest part of the Spacruzzi hot tub and allow the device to operate for at least 30 minutes. A visible stream/cloud of tiny bubbles is emitted from the electrode cell while chlorine is being generated as a visual cue for users.

The boat’s design focuses on accessibility and low maintenance, making it an attractive option for vacation rental platforms and boating companies. It is small and light enough to be transported and launched with standard equipment. The boat has received attention for its practical features and has been mentioned in various media outlets.

The Spacruzzi is crafted predominantly from fibreglass, in a teardrop-shaped vessel that can be tailored to each owner, with high-end finishes available, as well as custom hull colours and decking. Buyers can also opt for extras, such as shade towers, floating drinks caddies, or underwater lights.
