RENOLIT AKLORPLAN receives sustainable RecyClass Certification

RENOLIT ALKORPLAN, makers of reinforced PVC membranes for swimming pools, spas and splash pads, is pleased to announce it has received the prestigious RecyClass Certification highlighting its commitment to sustainability by recycling surplus production for high-quality membranes. The certification highlights the company’s ongoing sustainable innovation which aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, (SDGs), created to help to create a more balanced and environmentally responsible future.

RENOLIT ALKORPLAN’s reinforced PVC membranes are certified by RecyClass, an external platform driven by the European association Plastics Recyclers. RENOLIT ALKORPLAN is the first company in the sector to achieve this certification, placing the company at the forefront of innovation and care for the environment. The recycled materials come from surplus production, which are reintroduced into the company’s production chain. The incorporation of recycled material into its PVC reinforced membranes does not compromise their technical properties or benefits of the product. The quality of the company’s membranes remains intact, ensuring the same durability, waterproofing, and performance as products made from virgin plastic.

Sustainability is reflected in the company’s ‘Thousands of Pool Experiences’ initiative, focused on creating products that not only enhance countless poolside moments but also have a positive impact on the environment.  The company’s commitment to innovation and responsibility drives the company to continually reduce its environmental footprint while maintaining the quality and durability expected and enjoyed by customers. Within ‘Thousands of Pool Experiences,’ RENOLIT ALKORPLAN has developed various projects that reinforce a commitment to sustainability, innovation and environmental responsibility in every aspect of our production and operations.

RENOLIT ALKORPLAN’s approach to the circular economy is designed to minimize waste and maximize the reuse of materials throughout the production process. The company uses clean offcuts generated in the factory, processes them, and reintroduces them into the production chain. In this way, the company reduces the use of new raw materials, decreases water and energy consumption during production, and minimizes their environmental footprint. This process ensures efficient use of resources and promotes a more sustainable production model.
