Recall of Aiper Elite Pro Cordless Robot Pool Cleaners

Aiper issued a recall of its Elite Pro GS100 robotic pool vacuums because there is a potential hazard associated with the charging process. The recall was announced officially on August 24, 2023. It followed concerns that the battery could overheat if the charging cord were plugged into the device directly without the adapter, or directly into charging port of the machine. This can cause serious burns or fire hazards and could endanger users and the environment.

Aiper Elite Pro GS100 Recall

Aiper Elite Pro GS100 is a cordless robotic vacuum cleaner. This robotic cleaner was designed to make pool cleaning easy. Aiper took the necessary steps to ensure customer safety by recalling all affected units due to an issue identified with the charging process.

The Elite Pro weighs 11.2 pounds, measures approximately 15.9 x 14 x 10 inches and has a dark gray exterior. On the front/top of the unit is prominently displayed the brand name “Aiper”. On the bottom of the vacuum, you will find a label with the model number and name.

Safety Concerns

A total of 17 incidents have been reported so far. The majority of incidents involved overheating. However, there was one incident where a small burn occurred on a fingertip. In this case, fortunately, no medical attention was required and there were no reported property damages. The potential risks of an overheated battery are far too serious to ignore.

Replacement and Remedy

Aiper has taken steps to address the issue by offering a free replacement of a href=”https://www.poolmagazine.com/pool-equipment/aiper-pool cleaners-2023/”>Aiper’s Seagull Pro/a> robotic pool cleaners. Aiper is offering affected customers a free replacement of Aiper’s Seagull Pro robot pool cleaner. Aiper will also provide a free return address for customers who wish to send back their Elite Pro units. Aiper will ship the replacement Seagull Pro to customers within seven days of receiving the recalled product. The company has been in direct contact with all customers to ensure the recall process is smooth and that replacement units arrive promptly.

Product distribution and cost

Affected Aiper Elite Pro GS100 robotic cordless pool vacuum cleaners have been sold online between January 2023 and May 2023. These products were sold online by a variety of retailers including www.aiper.com and Amazon.com. The price range of the recalled products was between $600 to $800.

Manufacturing and Distribution details
