Kelli Clancy will continue her education in pool design
(Alexandria VA) —The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance has presented the 2022 Greg Garrett Scholarship award to Kelli Clancy, owner of Legacy Pool & Spa. Spa
This $5,000 scholarship was established in memory of Greg Garrett. He dedicated 45 years to the hot tub industry. The PHTA Recreational Air Quality Committee (RWAQC) created the Greg Garrett Scholarship Award.
Because of her dedication to the industry, Clancy’s application stood apart to the judges. She has given her time freely to help others climb the ladder and increase their knowledge. Clancy founded Pool Girl Pro Industry Trainings in 2020. This organization offers educational and networking opportunities to women working in the hot tub and pool industry. Clancy is a dedicated professional who has earned her Certified Pool & Spa Operator and Certified Pool & Spa Inspector certifications from PHTA.
Clancy has been awarded the Greg Garrett Scholarship and is eager to enter the building and design industry by taking GENESIS(r), and earning additional certifications through The Certified Pool Builder & Design Professional Pathway.
Clancy says, “I see education in this industry in an ongoing way. I believe in taking advantage opportunities and living a life without worrying about what ifs.” My professional and personal convictions were shouting encouragement into my ears. It was a great decision.
