Outdoor pool in Ontario to remain open with YMCA partnership

The Madoc Pool will continue to operate in 2024 with support from the YMCA. With staff shortages and repairs and maintenance, the pool was initially set for closure this summer.

Per a report by Quinte News, the YMCA will operate and hire staff for the pool. The pool will be available for swimming lessons and public swimming seven days a week and will also run a summer camp in the Whytock Park Lawn Bowling building.

It is also reported that Centre Hastings council has almost $62,000 of taxpayer support for the pool service in the 2024 budget; and money is still being raised for a new pool for the community.

The Madoc Pool is an outdoor pool facility in Ontario with a large pool and a separate wading pool for all ages.
