The City of Yellowknife officially opened the Yellowknife Aquatic Centre last month.
Following a successful soft opening in May, the facility has already welcomed thousands of users and received overwhelmingly positive feedback on its award-winning accessible amenities, improved program availability, and enhanced staff-to-user service ratios.
Spanning more than 5,295 m2 (57,000 sf), the centre features a diverse range of water amenities for recreational and competitive use, including a splash pool, a three-lane leisure pool, a lazy river, a therapy pool, an eight-lane competition pool, and an indoor waterslide.
The Big Splash Bash marks the full operational launch of this state-of-the-art community facility.
