Marquis and Make-A-Wish Partner to Grant Hot Tub Wishes
Zophia was born with a rare disorder of the nervous system that affects her sleep, mobility, and speech. She loves swimming and being in the water. Zophia’s family reached out to Make-A-Wish Metro New York. They were able to grant her wish through Marquis Hot Tubs.
A Bubbly Partner
Zophia’s wish is the 1,100th granted by Marquis since their 23-year-old partnership. Marquis has donated over $7.2 million to Make-A-Wish America and Make-A-Wish Canada. The program has been a great success.
Freedom and Fellowship
Zophia enjoys the physical and emotional benefits of a hot tub. Alexx, Zophia’s mom, says that Zophia is more independent in the water. It’s so great for her mentally and physically to be able interact with her siblings, cousins, and friends without having to sit in a chair or have restrictions. We are amazed at how liberating it is for her parents.
A Labor of Love
Zophia was gifted a Marquis Crown Resort. This five-person luxury hot tub has two full-body lounges and specialized massage chairs for different therapies. Marquis’ dealer network is responsible for final installation after shipment. Acme Pool & Spa Company, New Hartford, drove six hours round trip to make sure that the experience was smooth. Tyler Armstrong, the owner, was glad to assist.
Armstrong says, “We loved the joy it brought Zophia’s family.” It makes you think about how important it is to take what you have seriously. These situations are important to me and my team. We hope to do more in future. No matter where the delivery is located, it doesn’t matter. We will help you with any delivery, if possible.
Motivated to Work Harder
Marquis CEO Rick Gallagher and father to seven said his appreciation. “Wish children like Zophia inspires us to make hydrotherapy accessible to more children with critical illness,” he added. It’s an honor to be part the team that includes Marquis and Acme Pool and Spa dealers, as well as the wonderful people at Make-A-Wish, who have worked together to make this happen 1,100 more times. This kind of work is a great inspiration in a world that has its fair share of problems.
