The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance, the trade association that represents the swimming pool and hot tub industry, is proud to announce the appointment of Joseph Laurino to the position of Chairman of the Board. He will serve in this role until 2024. Laurino, PhD, MBA, is the President and CEO at Periodic Products, Inc., an American material science technology firm based in Sarasota, Fla.
Laurino held several volunteer leadership positions for the association including Chair of Recreational Water & Air Quality Committee and Chair of Technical Advisory Council. He helped develop the Greg Garrett Scholarship Award, which is intended to assist PHTA members to pursue continuing education and certification. Periodic Products, under Laurino, has actively participated in the fundraising efforts for Step Into Swim – PHTA’s drowning prevention campaign. Laurino will be a great leader for PHTA to reach their goals in 2024 and beyond because of his dedication to the industry.
