IPSSA Education Fund Expands Benefits in 2025 as Demand for Education Grows

The IPSSA Education Fund is excited to announce it has expanded the benefits of its education fund for 2025 to help advance the professional training and education of pool professionals in the swimming pool and spa industry. IPSSA recognizes the need to increase the reimbursement amount for educational classes to help offset the costs of advanced licensing and certifications. The newly expanded and revised program benefit allows applicants can be reimbursed up to $500.00 per calendar year. The IPSSA BORD and Education Committee provides funds to lower the costs of courses such as Certified Pool Operator courses, Aquatics Facility Operator courses, contractor license courses, manufacturer sponsored courses, courses provided at industry trade shows as well as business and trade school courses.

“As the cost of educational classes continues to rise, IPSSA wants to continue to support all self- employed pool and spa service professionals seeking to advance their professional training and education to have less of a financial burden doing so,” says Rose Smoot, Executive Director of IPSSA. “It’s good for the industry as a whole if our pool and spa service professionals are more educated in the field.”

“The process of getting reimbursed for class expenses is super simple and easy,” says Hunter Smith, an IPSSA member who has been taking advantage of the education fund over the past few years. “The classes I take allow me to take everything I learn and immediately integrate it into my business so that I can offer more services to my clients and allow me to increase my profits. It’s a wonderful benefit offered by IPSSA.”
