Darren Hill, a seasoned professional in the Canadian pool industry, has officially launched AquaMate Inc., a new company specializing in custom vinyl pool liners and will be an exclusive distributor of Pentair Pool equipment to dealers across Canada.
Located at 91 Sandford Fleming Dr. in Collingwood, Ont., AquaMate Inc. produces high-quality, custom vinyl liners using 100 per cent Canadian-made materials. The company ensures local fabrication and premium craftsmanship by partnering exclusively with Canadian General-Tower (CGT) as its sole vinyl supplier.
“The Canadian pool industry is unique and special to me. Having grown up in the business under the guidance of my dad, Michael Hill, I learned firsthand the industry and witnessed how significant it was for our whole family,” says Hill. “I felt it was important to preserve the unique qualities that define our industry in Canada.”
AquaMate Inc. has partnered with Pentair Pool, becoming the sole sourced Canadian distributor of the brand’s pool equipment. This partnership will provide dealers nationwide with streamlined, reliable access to high-performance products.

Hill brings decades of hands-on industry experience to the business. His background includes everything from delivering pool kits to consumers’ homes to performing weekly service for demanding clients in Toronto. He has worked in all facets of pool and backyard construction and most recently served 23 years as the sales leader for Pentair Pool in Canada.
