Industry Spotlight: Beatbot

Pool cleaning robots has been on the market for over 40 years, but haven’t received as many updates to the product as others. AQUA spoke to Beatbot’s CMO, York Guo, about what makes Beatbot’s AquaSense Pro the much-needed robotic upgrade that it is.

AQUA: Tell us about Beatbot and what your brand brings to the pool market.

York Guo, CMO, Beatbot: Beatbot is a technology brand dedicated to the global robotization of swimming pool environments. Founded by industry experts with over 10 years of experience in leading home robotics companies, we are growing rapidly with offices in multiple countries and a strong R&D team, taking up 70% of the company.

Pioneering core technologies like brushless water pumps, AUV spatial locomotion, sonar laser SLAM and space mapping navigation algorithms, Beatbot has secured numerous patents and pioneered industry-first innovations. Currently, we hold over 170 patents (granted and under application), including 65 patents for inventions.

The brand aims to lead the world in smart, all-in-one pool care robotics inheriting the legacy of top-tier home robotics companies, and is driven by a commitment to product excellence. Beatbot’s mission is to redefine pool care, address industry challenges, enhance performance, and deliver hassle-free pool care experiences.

AQUA: What makes Beatbot stand out from other products on the market?

YG: The first pool cleaning robot appeared 40 years ago, earlier than home robotic vacuums. Unlike the latter, which developed rapidly into a mature industry, pool cleaning robots still have outdated features — even after 40 years of development (corded, lack of intelligent route planning, unable to return automatically, can only be retrieved by a long pole after cleaning, can’t simultaneously clean the water surface, pool bottom, pool wall, and water quality, leading pool owners to need to purchase different cleaning products for different areas of the pool, etc.).

As a challenger in this category, Beatbot relies on a strong team from the home robot field, conducts in-depth research on user needs, spends a lot of time refining the product and solves or improves many industry pain points. This has led to the eventual launch of the Beatbot AquaSense Pro, a product that takes the pool cleaning experience to a new level. With numerous patents and a track record of introducing industry-first innovations, the AquaSense Pro stands as the world’s first all-in-one robotic pool cleaner, incorporating many groundbreaking features.

The AquaSense Pro is exceptionally smart — equipped with smart chips and 20 sensors — and remarkably powerful, featuring nine motors including a patented brushless main-pump motor that provides 5500 GPH suction power. It is the first cleaning robot capable of cleaning the floor, walls, waterline, surface, and clarifying the water, all in a single product — a feat unmatched by any other brand.

Additionally, according to the company, the Beatbot AquaSense Pro introduces industry-first innovations:

  • Industry’s First Clarifier Dispenser: This feature allows the AquaSense Pro to provide an unprecedented level of water clarifying by automatically and evenly distributing the clarifying agent based on each pool size.

  • Industry’s First Smart Return and Surface Parking: These capabilities enable hassle-free retrieval of the AquaSense Pro.

  • Industry’s First Pool Robot with Simulated Flight Propulsion Design: This design supports the robot floating and cleaning the surface, enhancing its cleaning efficiency.

  • Industry’s First CleverNav™ Advanced Path Planning: This elevates pool cleaning to unmatched precision and thoroughness. The robot can plan the most efficient cleaning paths, eliminating overlaps and ensuring a spotless pool with no missed areas.

These innovations collectively set the Beatbot AquaSense Pro apart from its competitors, making it the top choice for those seeking an advanced and efficient robotic pool cleaner.

AQUA: You’ve shared that you’re excited to partner with Solenis to bring robotic pool cleaners to over 1,000 retail stores. Can you tell us a bit about that?

YG: Solenis is a trusted leader in pool care, known for its easy-to-use and effective products that make pool maintenance effortless. Solenis has transformed pool ownership into a hassle-free experience, making it an ideal partner for Beatbot’s innovative solutions. This partnership will make Beatbot’s pool-cleaning technology available in over 1,000 physical retail stores starting in November 2024. Pool owners can find and learn more about our robotic cleaners through Solenis’s channels, equipping their customers with functional pool care.

With convenience and affordability, consumers will have enhanced access to Beatbot’s premium robotic pool cleaner. This strategic partnership will expand beyond online platforms to offline retail locations, maximizing visibility and reach to ensure more customers can experience the next generation of pool care solutions firsthand. The partnership reinforces both our company and Solenis’s commitments to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction.

AQUA: For businesses looking to get started with Beatbot, what is the next step?
