Hydropool Hot Tubs & Swim Spas in Mississauga announced the merger of Sunrise Spas with Hydropool Hot Tubs & Swim Spas.
Both manufacturers bring together nearly a century of experience, leadership and intellectual property in the Canadian hot-tub and swim-spa industry. The merger aims to make both brands stronger by improving the efficiency of production processes for both manufacturers.
Dan Love, president and general manger of Hydropool, says that when both parties saw the opportunity to work together more closely – and deliver significant manufacturing efficiency out of this closer relationship – it was an easy deal for them. We want to ensure and build a strong future both for Sunrise and Hydropool. It is a great opportunity for everyone involved with either company.
Most current elements will continue to be in place despite the fact that two manufacturers have joined forces. Retailers can expect to continue receiving the same level of support and service.
Over the next year, Sunrise assembly and production will move from Grimsby (Ont.) to Hydropool in Mississauga. This change will take place at a reasonable rate to minimize disruptions for all retailers.
As the two entities merge, the Sunrise brand family will be maintained. The goal is to strengthen both brands without letting one dominate the other. Dealers can continue to work with Sunrise Spas customer service, sales team, and senior management. Sunrise will also continue to service the warranty and provide parts directly.
Love says, “This change is one that everyone can agree on, particularly in the current economic environment each company finds itself in.” We will both be better positioned for the future, with more efficient operations.
