(Alexandria (Va.) – GENESIS(r), a company belonging to the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance, is proud to announce its Construction Faculty Chair, Rocky Wisley. Wisley is the operator of Serenity Hardscapes LLC, Memphis, TN. This company recently received the American Shotcrete Association (ASA), Qualified Shotcrete Contractor – Wet-Mix Level I designation.
After completing the rigorous GENESIS (r) curriculum requirements, Wisley was awarded his Certified Master Pool Builder & Design Professional certification (Master CBP). He then became a GENESIS®(r) instructor. Wisley is part of the C201: GENESIS (r) CONSTRUCTION SCHOL: Concrete Pools team and has taught over 300 pool professionals the basics of concrete pool construction.
Wisley has more than 15 years of experience in the construction industry. He is a Tennessee General Contractor licensed by the American Concrete Institute (ACI), Certified Nozzleman and member of The National Plasterers Council. Wisley also holds an Associate’s Degree in Automotive Technology of Applied Science. In 2010, Wisley founded Serenity Hardscapes LLC.
Wisley says, “I’m excited to assume this expanded role at GENESIS(r), a organization that cares for the industry and cares for the people who go through its programs.” “I want to instill the value of quality-built pool construction in my students and show them how these principles can be applied to their daily work.
Wisley, as the Construction Faculty Chair will be responsible to write the curriculum for new GENESIS (r) construction courses, update existing content, and bring real-life experiences into the classroom. He will be working closely with Terry Brannon, PE, Engineering Chair. Kate Wiseman (Design Chair), MLA, to ensure that future pool builders as well as the entire industry are educated in GENESIS(r).
Skip Phillips (Master CBP), GENESIS(r), co-founder, says “We are so happy to have one of the Master CBPs from our company and an ASA Qualified Shotcrete Contractor assume the role of GENESIS[r] Construction Chair.” His high level of industry expertise and passion will make him a perfect fit with our faculty chairs.
