(Alexandria (Va.) – GENESIS(r), a company belonging to the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance, (PHTA), is proud to announce Shaun Goldberg its Plaster Construction Faculty Advisor. Goldberg, currently Vice Chair of National Plasterers Council, is Plaster Operations Manager at Burkett’s Pool Plastering, Inc.
Goldberg has over 35 years experience in the pool industry and has overseen or plastered more than 50,000 pools. His vast experience in a variety of projects, including residential and commercial pools, will make Goldberg an integral part of GENESIS(r).
Goldberg, in addition to serving as Vice Chair, is also currently NPC’s Technical Committee Chairman. Goldberg was previously a member of NPC’s Education and Research Committees. Goldberg has taught many courses on plastering techniques. He focuses on how to bring together the past, present and future of the pool industry to get a better understanding of how it works today.
Goldberg, as the Plaster Construction Faculty advisor, will be responsible for updating and expanding the plaster curriculum included in the GENESIS(r). He will provide advice on techniques, application, and materials. Goldberg will also teach parts of C201 and plastering-specific courses, which are currently being developed.
Goldberg says, “I have always loved the fact that GENESIS(r), and its students are all focused on education.” “GENESIS(r), PHTA and other industry bodies set industry standards and train industry professionals with a forward-thinking outlook. There are always new developments and improvements in pool construction and design. I am happy to be a part of them.”
