Vogue Portugal is a monthly lifestyle and fashion magazine that covers topics such as fashion, beauty, food, and music. Recently, the magazine published a series where a model poses boldly in a public sauna located in Estonia.
The photoshoot was set against a sauna that resembles a swimming pool, with its blue and white tiles. The model changes her outfits throughout the series. She wears a blue sweater, an oversized pink jacket, and statement stilettos – thigh high shoes with an ombre sunrise, decorated with palm trees spiraling down her leg. In one shot, the model’s face is completely absent, allowing the shoes, perched on a ladder above a swimming-pool, to take center stage.
Luca Meneghel is the man behind these captivating photos. He is based in Bolzano in Italy but his photography allows him the opportunity to travel around the world on projects for New Balance, a popular footwear company, as well as magazines like Vogue.
Meneghel, in a DesignBoom statement, says that the inspiration for this photoshoot came from the old, public, modernistic sauna called “kalma Saun” in Tallinn. “Combined with colorful clothing, it created a surreal perspective of the fashion scene.”
