A lawsuit has been filed against a Lowcountry pool business in South Carolina by thirty customers. The suit alleges that the company failed to fulfill the contract for the installation and maintenance of swimming pools.
The company was founded in 2020 and has served clients all over the country, from Mount Pleasant to Okatie. Customers claim that they were disappointed by delays in the installation of their pool after signing a contract. Many customers claimed that they waited more than a year to have their pool fully finished.
The most distressing complaint is the delayed service.
One customer claims that he signed the contract for construction in June 2021, but had to wait until July 22nd to see the pool fully operational. The customer also claimed that the workers who did finally show up were disruptive, noisy, and consumed alcohol while working. A gravel driveway was also left behind by the workers through the customer’s yard.
“As they passed me, I noticed damage on my property that didn’t need to be done. The customer says that it wasn’t something they did, but that they didn’t care. They just destroyed my front yard and I didn’t know. “They just destroyed my front yard, and I didn’t know.” I called them, asking, “What’s the deal?” They said, “Sorry, somebody should have informed you.”
He contacted the company to repair the uneven concrete, remaining gravel and damage to his property. After that, he set up a Facebook page where over 200 people can share their common questions about their pool.
A customer who had worked with the company last summer said that they were satisfied with the installation up until they had to turn the heating on. That’s when the heater stopped working. The pool heater company and energy company were contacted by the customers to investigate the problem. They were informed that once the PVC pipe has been installed, it cannot be exposed to light as it could catch on fire. Inspection could not be performed.
According to the law firm involved in litigation, there are approximately 100 customers affected.
