Crystal Lengua, a prominent figure in the pool and spa industry, has recently been promoted to the position of vice-president at Ultralift Cover Lifter Systems, a company that specializes in hot tub cover lifters and lifter system accessories in North America. Spa Retailer Magazine recognized her as a “power woman” in this field. SMP Specialty Metal Products is the parent company of Ultralift.
Lengua has 22 years of experience in the business world, including seven years in senior leadership roles. She played a crucial role in making significant changes at Ultralift by charting its direction and is passionate about bringing continuous improvement to both the pool and spa industry and the metal industry.
Currently, SMP is undergoing a rebrand, and Lengua is committed to using her expertise and vision to elevate the metal business. Education is a critical aspect of her career, and she holds certifications from Humber College, George Brown College, Sheridan College, and the University of Toronto. Additionally, she is pursuing a program in human resource management at York University.
Lengua is a former president of the Pool and Hot Tub Council of Canada (PHTCC) and has led in-class seminars and other public speaking sessions at trade shows. She has also written articles for Pool and Spa Marketing and Pools & Patios.
