Coverings: Innovation & Insights from Lunada Bay & SICIS

Top brands in the tile and stone industry must stay on top of innovations to remain competitive. Coverings is the premier tile and stone expo. It provides manufacturers with a platform to show off their latest products, and network with professionals in the industry. We were able to speak with two of the largest manufacturers, SICIS, and Lunada Bay Tile about their experiences during Coverings, 2023. What they said:

What innovative products or trends are you showcasing in the rapidly changing world of tile andstone design? How do these offerings meet the evolving needs and tastes of the market today?

SiCIS:siCIS is a pioneer in the industry for large format submergible glass panels. This trend has already been seen in porcelain tiles, but large glass panels offer new possibilities for aesthetics, including reflective panels, backlit panel, and saturated colors.

Lunada Bay Tile ” Lunada Bay Tile The expanded range of textures, colors, and patterns in have made our tile suitable for any area inside or outside the home. Our products are truly customizable, allowing customers to create something that is unique and aligns with their aesthetic.”

The construction and design industries are becoming more sustainable. Would you be able to elaborate on the commitment of your company to sustainability? From materials used in products to manufacturing processes, could you give us more information about this? What are your contributions to an industry that is more environmentally friendly?

SICIS “European Manufacturers have introduced energy efficiency long before it was defined as a trend due to high European prices for energy. SICIS recycles energy. Heat exhaust from our glass furnaces is used to heat our warehouse and administration buildings. Our glass production is waste-free. All remnants or materials that do not meet our standards are recycled and re-used.

Lunada Bay: Our products reflect our commitment to sustainability. Our ceramic and glass tile are durable and long-lasting. “They are made from natural materials which are not only eco friendly but are also easy to maintain. This ensures a healthy and hygienic environment.”

In the business world, building strong partnerships is crucial. What are some examples of successful projects or collaborations where your company worked closely with designers, architects, or contractors? What is your company’s approach to supporting its clients through the entire project lifecycle?

SICIS It is important to provide not only the technical expertise, but also the design services from the beginning of the project. We even help pool designers and developers navigate the specific requirements of building codes and health codes to prevent project failures.

We want to be a company that offers support before and after the purchase. “We provide technical support, training, sample options, installation classes and ongoing support to ensure that our clients are happy.”

Attending Coverings gives you the chance to meet industry professionals. What networking sessions, events or other opportunities have you attended that you found beneficial?

SICIS This was one of the most successful networking events at Coverings. We were able to meet contractors and installers and collaborate on projects. Regional training sessions and collaborations across the country followed.

Lunada Bay: “Networking is our lifeblood.” Coverings gives us the opportunity to communicate with our current customers, dealers and on a personal level. It is also a great platform to launch new products and services. “We use Coverings’ exhibit as a gallery to discuss lifestyle trends and needs, and learn from our clients.”

In the tile and stone business, it is important to stay up-to-date with current market trends. Attending Coverings provides attendees with insight into emerging trends and market dynamics as well as consumer preferences.

Sicis “Coverings allow us to test ideas and get feedback on our new product launches. We see ourselves as designers, anticipating fashion trends in luxury and incorporating new design concepts into our surfaces. Coverings is a great way to reach out to creative and discerning consumers.

Lunada Bay: Coverings is a showcase of what’s latest in the industry. We can learn from experts in the industry, discover new trends and better understand our customers’ needs. “We use this event to share our vision of future product trends, rather than just following existing trends.”

Coverings was a great platform for top tile manufacturers to show off their new products and network. We look forward to Coverings 2020, which will take place in Atlanta from April 22nd through April 25th. We hope to see more innovative developments and to meet professionals who are passionate about tile and stone design.
