Jennifer Hoff, president and CEO of Taffy Event Strategies, the event manager for Coverings, stated that “from the enthusiastic feedback received by tile and stone professionals all over the world, Coverings 2023 will be one of most energetic and well-attended shows in many years.” “The attendees will have the opportunity to network with industry professionals, gain cutting-edge insights and knowledge, and experience hands-on installation. They can also peruse the most current and innovative products in the global tile and stone industry.
Hoff and her team have also planned a diverse line-up of live demonstrations and panel discussions, active podcasts and engaging activations. Eventgoers will be able to benefit from these experiences and connect with their peers and make new connections. These four show tenets, which are back by popular demand – “Health & Wellness,” “Sustainability,” “Outdoor Spaces,” and “Timeless Luxury” – will be highlighted throughout the Coverings Lounge as well as the exhibits and learning opportunities.
Coverings in 2023 Official Hotels
Official hotels at Coverings 2023 are now accepting reservations through onPeak, the exclusive hotel provider for the event. Coverings 2023 exhibitors and attendees can book rooms at reduced rates in a selection of Orlando hotels. You can book with no restrictions, deposits, or risks at the participating hotels. Cancellations of room reservations are possible with no penalty up to seven days before arrival.
Individuals and businesses are advised to book hotel rooms through onPeak. Avoid third-party companies that offer hotel assistance. Also, be sure to check the cancellation policies of individual hotels. OnPeak can book rooms through the Coverings website Coverings.com/hotel.
Coverings 2023 will open event registrations and hotel bookings. The official call for nominations and submissions for the 2023 Coverings Installation & Design Awards (CID) and the 2023 Rock Star Awards programs is also available. Both popular award programs have a deadline of December 16, 2022 at 11:59 PM EST.
Coverings Installation & Design (CID) Awards
CID Awards will recognize outstanding achievement in design and installation of ceramic tiles and stone in residential, commercial, and institutional projects. Architects, designers and builders, contractors, distributors as well as retailers and installers can submit their projects via the CID portal before the December 16, 2022 deadline.
Eight categorical categories will determine how projects are judged and awarded: Residential Ceramic Tile Installation; Residential Ceramic Tile Design; Residential Stone Installation; Residential Stone Design; Commercial Ceramic Tile Installation; Commercial Ceramic Tile Design; Commercial Stone Installation and Commercial Stone Design. For review eligibility, multiple national and international projects can be submitted for free via separate forms.
CID Award Winners will Be Chosen by a Verified Panel of Judges. The blind format is based on “Excellence In Execution”, “Inspiring + Original use” and “Overall Purpose.” Projects that win will be featured on Coverings’ website, blog, and social media channels. The winners will be recognized at the CID Awards Reception and receive a one-night complimentary stay, or an equivalent gift certificate at Coverings 2023.
Coverings Rock Star Awards
Coverings Rock Star Awards is the annual “Emerging Leaders Program” program that recognizes the most promising young talent in the stone and tile industry. Industry leaders nominate Rock Stars. This program reflects Coverings’ ongoing commitment to supporting the industry’s growth and success by recognizing the best talent and encouraging networking and education opportunities. You can submit nominations through the Coverings Rock Stars nominee portal before the December 16, 2022 deadline.
Eligible nominees must be 35 years of age or younger and employed within one of the following professions to qualify: Architect, designer, distributor, retailer, contractor/installer, fabricator, specifier, trade association, or manufacturer.
A panel of industry leaders will evaluate each nominee’s experience, professional certifications and affiliations, previous awards or praises, speaking engagements at industry events, quantity of published works, impact on the tile and stone industry, and other traits that make them stand out as emerging leaders.
Coverings 2023 Rock Star Awards winners will be honored at Coverings 2023. They will also be included in a Coverings 2023 Press Release distributed to many industry and consumer media outlets. The awards will be recognized on Coverings’ website and blog throughout the year.
