East Hants Aquatic Centre closed due to flooding in Nova Scotia

East Hants Aquatic Centre in Elmsdale, Nova Scotia, has been shut down due to the flooding in the province caused by unexpected heavy rainfall in the second half of July. The opening time for the centre remains uncertain according to the spokesperson for the Municipality of East Hants (MEH).

Vandals have caused an aquatic facility in Vanderhoof, B.C. to shut down temporarily, and incurred $500,000 in damages from flooding the centre with almost 600,000 L (1,585 gal) of water.
