Studio City Water Park
Art Deco meets space travel
After winning a Leading Edge Award for its outdoor water park in 2021, Studio City’s indoor waterpark opened in 2023 as part of the entertainment center’s expansion. The water park’s most famous feature is its set of water slides that protrude from the outside. The slides are finished in warm colors with metallic custom finishes. The water park is themed around space travel. WhiteWater’s AquaPlay 1050 play structure has been dubbed a “Command Center” and WhiteWater’s 12 slides take guests on a sci-fi adventure. Infinity Master Blaster is a unique water coaster which takes riders on an exciting loop around the park. It features uphill blasts, mega drops and a continuous loop.
Island Waterpark
Family entertainment in a historic location
WhiteWater’s indoor Island Waterpark, located at Showboat Hotel in the Showboat Hotel Island, has 9,290 m 2 of space. There are 11 slides with action, a FlowRider, and 2 aquatic play structures. AquaForms 12 is the centerpiece of the park. It boasts 55 play features and a 1600 litre (318 gallons) tipping bucket.
Pirates Cove Aquapark
A high-seas adventure
Pirates Cove Aquapark on the MSC Seascape combines WhiteWater’s dry and wet attractions. It features AquaPlay 150 and six slides as well as an adventure trail. All of these are tied together with a pirate theme and an imposing, hand-carved giant Kraken that serves as a tower. The Giant AquaTube is outfitted with a sound-and-light package that makes it a repeatable experience throughout the itinerary of the ship.
Doug Smith, WhiteWater’s global head for sales, said that the success of these projects shows how water parks and aquatic facilities play a key role in attracting families and bringing back repeat visitors. They also demonstrate the benefits of high-quality collaboration and professionalism between clients, partners, and teams. We are grateful to everyone involved.
