Summer is already a fond memory, the pools have closed in the Northlands, the leaves are melting into crimson hues, and Halloween is here. What better time to showcase an upcoming horror film from the industry’s own Rudy Stankowitz?
A 30-year veteran of the pool and spa industry, a columnist for AQUA and a long-time lover of all things horror, Stankowitz proudly announced he has joined the crew for the upcoming film, “Bunker Heights.”
Adding associate producer to his long list of accolades — among them author, columnist, and executive producer of the popular “Talking Pools” podcast — Stankowitz is all about books and movies of the spookier persuasion.
“I am excited at the opportunity to be a part of the “Bunker Heights” film and open the door to future endeavors in the horror genre,” says Stankowitz. “I am a huge fan of horror movies. To have even a small part in the creation of one is an honor.”
Written by Drew Fortier, the film explores the complexities of a city facing a monstrous crisis. “Bunker Heights” is a genre-bending film, including themes of crime, horror and dark comedy. According to those involved, the film promises a “gripping narrative” that will follow the lives of city residents as they attempt to survive a threat that can prove disastrous to their existence.
A trailer for the film was released earlier this summer, which teases a nail-biting story with a large cast of characters sure to leave viewers looking over their shoulder.
“We’re thrilled to have Rudy on board as an AP for post-production,” says Hannah Fierman, the producer of the film. “He swooped in after principal photography and helped us find funds for post-production which is hugely helpful.”
“Rudy has been an essential component in helping wrap up postproduction,” says Drew Fortier, writer and director of the film. We are ecstatic to show the world what we have created; it will be worth the wait.”
The film is still in the final stages of production and no release date has been set yet, but the anticipation is high. Join Stankowitz as he transitions from the warm, promising days of summer into the foggy, chilly nights of autumn. Beware the horrors of “Bunker Heights.”
