Basecrete Launches OnDeck Wearable Waterproofing System

Basecrete Technologies is a pioneer in waterproofing residential and commercial pool vessels. Pool Magazine recently had the chance to meet Vito Mariano as well as Christopher Gates in order to discuss the latest innovation in the pool trade, OnDeck. This new system, they claim, will revolutionize waterproofing.

The OnDeck Difference

The actual application process is very simple. The product can be applied horizontally or vertically and can be textured however the installer chooses. Gates, who will manage the OnDeck product, said that heavy and light textures can all be rolled on, shot onto, or troweled upon.

The new system will prove to be a huge hit with pool contractors due to its versatility. Gates claims it will change the game. You can combine a new project with an existing one. You can use our material to rebuild an old deck that has been damaged or chipped. It’s possible to clean it up and make two-inch lifts with the material. This will allow you to create a seamless transition to new concrete. You can then coat it with OnDeck, and it looks elegant and beautiful. This all takes just one bag and one bucket of polymer.

Flexibility and customization

OnDeck will appeal to contractors who have had problems with other products, said Gates. Gates is a veteran of the industry and knows what it takes to overcome those frustrations. “You have to buy a bag that can be used horizontally, a bag that can be used vertically, and a waterproofing bag that can be used for both vertical and horizontal.” Gates explained that ours is very simple.

When it comes to decking materials, customization and color options are important. OnDeck will address many of these concerns. The last coating is a color-changing pigmented stain/sealer that comes in seven colors. You can mix your own color with a darker or lighter base.

A cost-effective waterproofing system

Vito Marino is the creator of OnDeck, a system that he created. He has a history producing award-winning products like this one. He is determined to bring the system to market by providing contractors with a superior product at a lower price than the one they are used to.

Mariano stated that OnDeck’s price per square foot is the best. “OnDeck isn’t expensive, and it’s also a quick waterproofingdecking system.” You now have all the benefits of OnDeck that the industry has never seen before. Instead of using low-end cementitious sprays, roll-on epoxy, or latex-based materials, you can get these new benefits. We are focusing on simplicity, waterproofing capabilities, and cost. It’s important to remember that.

Industry: Bringing OnDeck to the Table

Mariano feels confident that Gates, an industry professional, will help him drive the product to the market. “I have been producing OnDeck for many years. Mariano said that the formula dates back many years and that he has used it repeatedly for his own applications. Because I was working on other products, I didn’t have the time or energy to devote to it. Christopher is the right person for us. Because he is an industry expert, he has an advantage. ”

Industry insiders are eager to see the OnDeck system after the success of Basecrete. “I received a call from a man I had signed a contract with, who wanted to say thank you. I was asked by him where this product had been. In the past 35 years, I have used every product on the market. Mariano said, “I’ve never seen anything so good.”

Mariano hopes that many brand ambassadors will come forward to champion the product over the next few months. “We have people like Jose Garcia, from Barefoot Pools Arizona, who are eager to get this product. He has performed hundreds of Basecrete applications. Mariano said, “Those are the companies and applicators we want to work for.”

Gates has a long history with the pool industry and was previously employed by California Pools and San Juan Pools. He believes the time is right for this product.

“We started using acrylic top coats and polymer overlays on deck and pool projects years ago. Each one was different and each system had its own rhythm. You would stick with the one you can use if your knowledge of the system was good.” Gates explained that Vito told him that the bag that makes the material for the flat deck that covers the walls and waterproofs the corners is the same as the one used to make the material. That’s what got me excited. Gates explained that this, along with the fellow he is talking about, makes it an easy decision.
