The Kamloops, B.C. Canada Games Aquatic Centre’s long-closed waterslide has reopened after more than a year of repairs
According to a report by Castanet on the closure and reopening of the slide, the closure, which began in late 2022, addressed repairs to the HVAC system and bolt replacements, with certification achieved at the start of February 2024.
Alongside the waterslide’s return, the city organized two weeks of spring break activities at both the Canada Games Aquatic Centre and Westsyde Pool from March 18 to March 28.
