Automatic Pool Covers, Inc. developed the PowerTouch controller for automatic pool covers. This technology, which is exclusive to the industry, allows for torque limit adjustments with just one finger. This system eliminates the need to lift heavy auto covers and allows users to adjust with a touch of a button in just seconds. The PowerTouch has “back-lit buttons” that are easy to see at night and during the day. The controller also features easy-to read “open” or “close” buttons, as well as a simple “checkmark” button that makes it easier for users to use. According to the company, the PowerTouch is easier to use and faster than mechanical torque limiters. It has also been proven to extend the life of drive components and cover ropes.
